Course Overview
The Ship Maneuvering Simulator & Bridge Team Work (SMS) course is designed to enhance the skills of deck officers in ship handling, navigation, and team coordination using full-mission bridge simulators. It includes realistic scenarios like port approaches, restricted waters, and emergency maneuvers. Emphasis is placed on communication, leadership, and the application of COLREGs. The course meets STCW Regulation A-II/1 and A-II/2 and is vital for officers managing bridge operations.

As per D G Shipping Training Circular No 4 of 2028 MTI’s are directed not to conduct any batch, if the batch strength is less than 25% of the approved intake capacity granted by the Directorate.
