Course Overview
The Basic STCW Safety Training Course is designed for new entrants to the maritime industry and includes all four essential safety modules required under STCW 2010: Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR), Elementary First Aid (EFA), and Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF). This course equips seafarers with foundational knowledge and practical skills for onboard safety, emergency response, and personal care at sea.

Batch Strength Policy
As per D G Shipping Training Circular No 4 of 2028 MTI’s are directed not to conduct any batch, if the batch strength is less than 25% of the approved intake capacity granted by the Directorate.

Formals (Collarless T-shirt’s, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted)

Mandatory Requirements
- 1.Candidates who have successfully completed the DGS approved Pre-Sea Training courses
- 2.Candidates holding Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management course and have completed the DGS approved OCCP course
- 3.Ex-Indian Navy personnel's with Discharge Certificates
- 4.Candidates holding Agni veer Discharge Certificates
- 5. Hospitality and passenger-service professionals holding Employment contract letter from the Director-General of Shipping approved cruise line recruitment and placement companies.
- Medically fit as per DG Shipping norms, Indos number and Indian Passport is mandatory
