Course Overview
The Radar Observer Simulator Course (ROSC) and Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA) course is mandatory for officers in charge of a navigational watch. It provides comprehensive knowledge and hands-on simulator training in radar principles, target detection, tracking, collision avoidance, and use of ARPA functions. The course complies with STCW Regulation A-II/1 and A-II/2 and prepares candidates for real-time decision-making during radar-based navigation.

Batch Strength Policy
As per D G Shipping Training Circular No 4 of 2028 MTI’s are directed not to conduct any batch, if the batch strength is less than 25% of the approved intake capacity granted by the Directorate.
