Course Overview
The Medical First Aid (MFA) course equips seafarers with the ability to provide medical assistance in case of injury or illness until professional medical care becomes available. This course covers topics such as vital sign assessment, CPR, bandaging, immobilization techniques, and care for common onboard injuries. It complies with STCW Regulation VI/4-1 and is mandatory for officers designated with medical responsibilities at sea.
